ICE KACANG PUPPY LOVE is a story set against the backdrop of a small town in Malaysia during the 80's, bringing audiences back to their experience of first love and crushes or what we call 'puppy love'. The first love feeling is like the popular 'ice-kacang' (shave ice) – melting away even before one can truly taste it, only its sweetness painfully residing in our memory. The film is profoundly an emotional tale of teenagers' puppy love, parental love, generation gap, life's truth and sometimes the 'make-believe' world we live in.

The movie introduces some interesting and talented new faces to the Malaysian public. Through the movie, audiences will not only be able to see the talent of many local actors / actresses and their professional performances but also the 'Malaysia Boleh' and ' 1 Malaysia' spirit.

这是一部马来西亚有史以来中文电影演员卡士整容最强的国际性电影。电影集结了马来西亚扬名海外的艺人歌手及演员和幕后策划班底亦是马来西亚资深的制作队伍。电影的男主角和导演是正是马来西亚红遍亚洲的歌手阿牛。这部电影是阿牛转型成为大电影导演的处女之作，阿牛亦获得大马2008杰青的荣耀。女主角为三料影后李心洁（金马奖，金像奖，金紫荆），演技深获好评的她已经扬名国际。而新一代的亚洲天王曹格亦会在电影中担任另一个男主角。参演的包括亚洲天后梁静茹，亚洲抒情歌手黄品冠及巫启贤，张栋梁，戴佩妮等等...
